The estuary, the hills and your street

On the map the estuary runs in blue from one edge to the other, the Ensanche shows its grid of blocks and the green hills close the city in on both sides. You can pick out San Mamés stadium, the bridges and every building, to scale and at its real height.

It isn't a photo or a poster: it's a relief you can touch. Run a finger along the estuary and feel the ground fall to the water and rise again towards the upper neighbourhoods.

One tile or a mosaic

Each tile is 20 × 20 cm and covers a whole neighbourhood. To see Bilbao from hill to hill, as in these pictures, we make it as a 2 × 2 mosaic (40 × 40 cm) whose tiles meet without a visible join. There is also a 6-tile mosaic to take in more of the city.

There are three finishes: Blanco, all one tone, where the light does the rest; Alba, with soft colours for the ground and water; and Verano, with the green of the hills and the blue of the estuary, as shown here.

What it holds

A chip sits in one corner. Hold a phone to it and a page opens with your photos, messages, videos and songs: the wedding by the estuary, the student flat in Deusto, the usual bar in the old town. You put the page together yourselves and can change it whenever you like.

It works as a gift for someone who lives in Bilbao and for someone who left and misses it: the city on the wall, and its memories a tap away.

How to order

In the designer, search for Bilbao, move the map until what matters sits in the middle, and choose the size and finish. You see the relief before you order. Then we make it to order and send it ready to hang or stand on a shelf.
